Role and playstyle
Gloo is a tank played in the roam role and the EXP lane. His skills leave Sticky stacks on enemies, which slow them and reduce the damage they deal to him. His ultimate attaches him to an enemy and shares part of the damage he takes with that target. In mlbbhub's October 20 data he is S tier with a 54.1% win rate and a 38.2% ban rate, rising to 40-50% bans in Legend and Mythic.
Recommended build and emblem
- Items: Tough Boots, Cursed Helmet, Glowing Wand, Oracle, Antique Cuirass, Immortality.
- Flex swaps: Athena's Shield over Antique Cuirass against a burst mage; Radiant Armor against steady magic damage; Warrior Boots against physical EXP laners with little crowd control. Without a healer on your team, Concentrated Energy can replace Glowing Wand.
- Emblem: Common set with Agility, Wilderness Blessing and Impure Rage.
- Battle spell: Flicker.
Combo and key tips
- Close in with Skill 1 (Slam, Slam) and Skill 2 (Spread-Spread) to briefly lock enemies down; every skill hit adds a Sticky stack.
- Ult the enemy with the most stacks, drag them toward your team, and use Skill 1 again as soon as it refreshes.
- If the enemy you are attached to dies, your ultimate cooldown drops sharply, so you can attach a second time in the same fight.
- Time Skill 2's dash to dodge lock-on engages such as Franco's hook or the Saber and Lolita ultimates.
- Drop Skill 1's goo in the brush near the Turtle pit for cheap vision.
What to pick against Gloo

Who Gloo is good against
mlbbhub's data shows a clear edge against Aamon (+4.4), Jawhead (+3.7), Johnson, Lesley and Karina. His slows and immobilizes punish assassins and divers that rely on dashes, and our engine also marks him as strong against mobile heroes.
What changed recently
Gloo was not touched in 2.2.16a. Earlier, patch 2.1.61 trimmed his damage reduction per stack, and 2.1.88 cut Skill 1's damage and the healing he gets while attached. Even so, his win rate stays above 52% in Mythical Glory and above.
